I seem to be experiencing a revival in my relationship with God at the moment. He is drawing nearer to me than I have known for quite a long time, and my desire is once again to know Him more. I’m listening to more music that inspires me to love Jesus, and reading more books that show me who He is and what He is about in this world.
If you happen to be praying for me, please pray that it continues. That I’ll know God more and more, experiencing more of the Holy Spirit in my life as He shows me who Jesus is. And, above all, that He will be glorified in and through my life.

At 14:45 today, I had a thumping headache that stopped me working. So I went and made some coffee. After two cups, my brain seems to have stopped fighting with my skull. Apparently I’m addicted to caffeine.
Just thought I should share…

Adobe have launched a great colour schemer tool. You can create a colour scheme based on various different methods including Analogous, Monochromatic, Triads and more! What’s more, users can submit colour schemes that you can browse and rip-off. Err, I mean, use as inspiration…
If, like me, you’re at all clueless about colour combinations, you want to check out Kuler.

So there’s fog all over London which is stopping flights coming in and getting out of Heathrow. That seems a bit inconsiderate considering I had a ticket booked from Newcastle at 19:45!
There was a flight available tomorrow, but I’ve decided to get the train instead. It’s not too expensive once you’ve got a young person’s card, and it means I get into Basingstoke tonight rather than tomorrow. This means that I still get to go to Bristol tomorrow and meet up with Mark and Anna, who I haven’t seen for months and months. It also means I still get to go from Bristol to Bath to spend time with my sister and her family.
It’s a bit inconvenient catching a train instead, but it’s worth it when you’ve got such cool people to look forward to meeting!

I’ve finally gone and done it - I’ve just completed my first post at a new blog I’ve setup called Verbum Dei. This is a blog that will contain my notes and answers made while following IVPs Search The Scriptures bible study programme. This is a programme that takes you through the entire Bible in three years, asks questions on the daily passages to stimulate thought and provides some notes giving some contextual information to help you understand the passage better.
It’s quite a big commitment, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to keep the discipline up by the grace of God. I’ve wanted to get stuck into the Scriptures for a long time now, but clearly not wanted it enough until recently! I finally seem to have been led to the point where I’m hungry enough to take and eat the food God has provided for our strength and growth.
It’s my hope that this new blog will encourage others in reading it just as much as it encourages me to study the Bible and learn more of God and His ways. I am praying that the Lord will give me insight into His Word that will also feed others and not just myself. Please stop by and check out the first posting - it’s based on Luke 1:1-25 which seems strangely apt for this time of year!
The blog has an RSS feed that you can subscribe too in your RSS reader of choice should you want to keep up to date with my posts. My RSS reader of choice is either Firefox Live Bookmarks or Google Reader.
God bless
Jon
